Where do my screenshots go?

Nowhere. Everything stays on your device. Screenshot Detox has no account, no cloud, and no servers — your screenshots and the text inside them never leave your device.

How does it read the text in my screenshots?

On your device, using Apple's built-in text recognition (Vision). No internet connection is needed and nothing is uploaded.

How do I import screenshots?

Tap Import to pick from your photo library, or use “Scan my library” to pull in everything at once. You can also share an image or link into the app from any other app using the system Share sheet. On a Mac, you can point the app at a folder and it imports new screenshots automatically.

Does it delete my original photos?

No. The app only reads your screenshots — it never modifies or deletes the originals in your photo library. Anything you dismiss inside the app goes to Recently Deleted first, so nothing is lost in one tap.

How do I send an event or task somewhere?

Open a screenshot the app recognized as an event or a task and choose “Add to Calendar” or “Add Reminder.” It creates the entry in your own Calendar or Reminders app (the app asks permission the first time).

Is there an account or subscription?

No account is required, and the app works fully offline. There's nothing to sign up for.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone (iOS 17 and later) and Mac (macOS 14 and later). The smartest on-device suggestions use Apple Intelligence where it's available, with a fast local fallback everywhere else.
